Description
Gold played a very important part in shaping Australian history and there was no greater turning point than in 1854 when the gold miners of Ballarat revolted against the colonial authority what would be remembered at the Eureka Stockade. Ballarat became one of the driving forces for Melbourne to rival Sydney in the race to become the capital.
This boucle weave is rich with earth tones, lavender and gold flecking and pays tribute to the gold panning days of the pioneers, who in their defiance, birthed Australian Democracy.
