Raw Silk Jacket Inspiration

Shale is a fine-grained, clastic sedimentary rock composed of mud that is a mix of flakes of clay minerals and tiny fragments (silt-sized particles) of other minerals, especially quartz and calcite. Shale typically breaks into thin layers, often splintery and usually parallel to the bedding plane.

In Joe's 'Blue Shale' Raw Silk Jacket, the parallel lines of the shale are echoed in the weave with the sporadically spaced vertical lines of woven silk. What results is an elegant and distinguished jacket with layers of appeal.
