Kakadu
Raw Silk Jacket Inspiration
Kakadu National Park is a protected area in the Northern Territory of Australia. The name Kakadu may have come from the mispronunciation of Gaagudju, which is the name of an Aboriginal language formerly spoken in the northern part of the park. Aboriginal people have occupied the Kakadu area continuously for at least 40,000 years. The area is renowned for the richness of its Aboriginal cultural sites, and ecological and biological diversity - not to mention the spectacular waterfalls.
The 'Kakadu Falls' Raw Silk Jacket draws upon these majestic falls, mirroring the vertical lines and cascading water droplets in the weave. Visually strong like the Kakadu falls themselves, this jacket can be paired with trousers or casual pants for a distinct and striking look.
