The Huon Pine is more than just a tree—it’s a piece of living history. Found only in the wild, misty rainforests of Tasmania, some of these slow-growing giants have stood for over 2,000 years. Prized for its golden hue, fine grain, and remarkable longevity, Huon Pine has been used to craft everything from classic wooden boats to exquisite furniture. Now, that same legacy is woven into fabric.
The Huon Pine Raw Silk Jacket channels the beauty of this Australian treasure, blending warm golden-hued and white silk in an intricate stringybark weave. The result? A refined yet effortlessly individual statement piece—rich in character, steeped in craftsmanship, and made for those who appreciate timeless style.
Handwoven over 200-300 days, with only 8-10 jackets per weave, this piece is as rare and enduring as the tree that inspired it.
✔ Handwoven raw silk – textured, breathable, and naturally luxurious. ✔ Golden & white silk blend – a warm, classic palette that stands the test of time. ✔ Stringybark weave – adding depth and richness to an already distinctive fabric.
Like the legendary Huon Pine, this jacket is built to last—a true icon of Australian heritage and craftsmanship. Extremely limited—secure yours before it becomes a legend of the past.

Met the guys behind Joe Bananas in Sydney over Xmas - the store experience and talking to them about their passion for material and style made purchasing the cap all the more enjoyable
Love the shirt which is more ivory than white. Quality of the linen and buttons is fabulous as is the workmanship. The size L is a throwback to the days when Joe Bananas size L was equivalent to everyone else's XL, but this will apparently be changing as new stock arrives.
I very much like the vibrant colours, unique patterns and quality garments that Joe Bananas have on offer. Just can’t resist buying something that catches my eye.
The idiom “ look and feel a million dollars” comes to mind.
