Deep within Australia’s ancient earth lies the opal — a gemstone born of water, time, and light. The Crystal Opal is its most elusive form: translucent yet brilliant, shifting hue with every glance. From turquoise to violet, from ember to gold — it’s nature’s own kaleidoscope.
The CRYSTAL OPAL Raw Silk Jacket channels this spectral energy through an intricate, multi-dimensional weave. Threads of teal, indigo, violet, ruby, and amber intertwine across a dark base, capturing the gemstone’s living fire. This wasn't my first Joe Bananas Linen shirt, so I knew what to expect quality, feel and size wise.
The material feels so smooth, yet durable and breathable. I have had other cheaper linen shirts, that 'got the job done' that end up stiff after a wash. These shirts don't do that at all.
This colour in particular is a hidden gem, in low light it is clam but under light it simmers beautifully, but doesn't shout too.
I wear the shirts for work, as a touring musician. And they damn well hold up in any situation. Under a jacket, under lights, even under the blistering Aussie sun.
I have a the same Indigogo colour in a long sleeve and the quality is the same.
It is rare finding consistent clothes from a brand nowadays, but I am glad I have found a company that takes pride in it. And they are Aussie made.
