The Milky Opal, found in Coober Pedy, South Australia, is one of nature’s most captivating gems. Unlike its darker opal cousins, its opaque surface hides a dazzling spectrum of colours, only revealing its brilliance when kissed by the light. This handwoven raw silk jacket is a tribute to that mystery—a boundless interplay of colour, depth, and texture.
Crafted in a full-weight weave, the Milky Opal Jacket provides a layer of warmth for cooler conditions while remaining incredibly light and breathable—a signature of Joe Bananas’ raw silk craftsmanship.

You will receive a complimentary Fitting Consult (by Zoom) with one of our Lead Stylists with any purchase of a custom tailored Jacket. Our team will contact you as soon as possible to schedule this at a convenient time for you.
This will include full measuring, a styling consult and our undivided attention to ensure you get the Perfect Fit for you and your taste.
We will then craft a pattern with your name on it, cut your garment to size and make from scratch just for you. Our Tailored collection is true custom fitting for the Perfect Fit Guarantee.
