GLACIAL ERRATIC – Handwoven Raw Silk Jacket
A Wandering Rock. A Statement in Style.
A few blocks from Joe Bananas on Madison Avenue, within the grounds of Central Park, massive glacial boulders emerge in stark contrast to their surroundings. These Erratics, named from the Latin “errare” (to wander), were carried by the mighty Laurentide Ice Sheet, which drifted across the land before melting away some 18,000 years ago, leaving these polished stone monoliths behind in the heart of Manhattan.
Like its ancient geological counterpart, the Glacial Erratic Raw Silk Jacket is a striking presence, woven with cool black and silver silk, enhanced by subtle metallic yarns that catch the light like glacial polish on stone. This slightly heavier weave provides both structure and warmth, making it the perfect evening jacket for autumn and winter.
Whether you’re making a sharp statement at a formal event or adding effortless luxury to a relaxed ensemble, this jacket—like the Erratics—is impossible to ignore.

The Erratics’ unique shine comes from a geological process called glacial polish, where sediments trapped within the glacier buff the rock’s surface as it deglaciates—the same effect that gives this jacket its subtle yet mesmerizing luster.

We will then craft a pattern with your name on it, cut your garment to size and make from scratch just for you. Our Tailored collection is true custom fitting for the Perfect Fit Guarantee.
