Description
The coastal taipan (Oxyuranus scutellatus), or common taipan, is a species of large, highly venomous snake of the family Elapidae. It is native to the coastal regions of northern and eastern Australia and the islands of New Guinea. According to most toxicological studies, this species is the third-most venomous land snake in the world.
Perhaps it‚an odd arc of patriotism but we cannot help but be inspired by the deadly beauties that inhabit our great island home. The Coastal Taipan is no exception. The shock of brilliant blue silk interweaved amongst the earthy tones give this textile an unexpected distinction. Neutral in appeal, this jacket can be styled for both formal and casual occasions.
