Description
Once famous for its Gold and now more so for its Honey, Beechworth is one of the original producers of Australia’s greatest honey pots. The golden amber from this nook of the Victorian bush has been refined since the 1880s and the keepers pride themselves on sustainable, pure and unadulterated honey which is considered up there with the best of the best.
The rich colours of the honeycomb have been recreated in an intensive dying process coupled its complex Bouclé weaving process to make it shimmer and pop! A light-weight weave, it is ideal for summer and shoulder seasons.
DRESS IT UP: Olympian Blue Linen Shirt over Crimson Chinos or The Joe Black tee over Black Non Crush Linen Trousers.
DRESS IT DOWN: With The Don tee in Sky Blue, Sydney Blue or Coral, over light denim or tan chinos.
CURIOUS FACT: Shortly after its establishment as a gold mining town, by 1853 Beechworth boasted five pubs and by 1874 this figure had grown to 61. In addition to its famous honey, Beechworth is now the centre of its very own wine region.
